Brockley Bimble Walk
A gentle urban ramble through the green and quirky corners of Brockley, showcasing hidden woodlands, gardens, and historic features.
Starting Point: Brockley Station (Windrush Line)
Length: Approx. 2–3 miles
Time: 1.5–2 hours
Exit Brockley Station and head left into the community garden maintained by Brockley Cross Action Group. This urban oasis was designed in 2010 by local volunteers and provides a great place to pause. Stroll down the ramp past cafés and seating, where the pedestrianised Coulgate Street enhances the local biodiversity and experience.
Continue to Foxberry Road and wind through Brockley’s tree-lined streets. Highlights include a stone circle, city views, secret gardens, woodland corners, and the atmospheric Nunhead Cemetery. End your walk at Brockley Market (Saturdays, 10am–2pm) for delicious street food and a lively local vibe.
