Myddelton Square

Myddelton Square, London, UK
The square is named for Sir Hugh Myddelton, the New River Company founder who brought fresh water from rural Hertfordshire to London in the early 1600s. In 1828, St Mark’s Church was consecrated. In recent years, Myddelton Square Gardening Group has restored the garden’s ornamental beds to their former glory. It’s also a haven for pollinators and topped ecologist surveys for pollinator abundance in 2025. Monitored by Pollinating London Together
