London National Park City Rangers

Meet our active community of Rangers, leading on climate and nature recovery work in every neighbourhood of London.

Rangers are the heart and soul of London National Park City; passionate individuals dedicated to making every part of London greener, healthier, and wilder.

Rangers are usually already active and involved in projects that connect people with nature. You may already volunteer in or organise projects or events like a community garden, nature walks, or create nature inspired art in your neighbourhood

By becoming a Ranger, you’ll be part of a bigger supportive community and you’ll gain access to resources, peer learning, and support to amplify your impact.

What do Rangers do?

What you do as a Ranger is up to you, as you’ll know what’s needed within your own community. It might mean running events in your local allotment, supporting your community to engage with its local nature reserve, building pollinator trails, organising nature walks – the possibilities of what a Ranger can do are endless!

Rangers run projects across the city that help their fellow Londoners understand how urban nature is important and diverse, providing influence, inspiration and practical ways for people to connect with and nurture and protect nature within their communities.

Rangers take the lead in actively reconnecting people and nature – especially in the urban half of London that isn’t yet green and wild. They do this in ways that fully support the full breadth of the ambition set out in the Charter for London National Park City across nature, wildlife, art, culture, sport and community.

We want Rangers to be co-authors of our new story where people, places and nature are better connected – and Rangers to take the lead in making this London wide story relevant for each neighbourhood in London.
