London Walking Festival: Week 5

Support the London Walking festival

Thanks to match funding from the Clearly Foundation, every donation to our Crowdfunder is currently being doubled!

That means your contribution goes twice as far to directly fund grassroots nature recovery projects that are helping to make London greener, healthier, and wilder. Every penny raised, and every mile walked, counts. If you have been thinking about donating, now is the moment.

The Grand Finale

25-31 May 2026

This is it. The final week of the London Walking Festival 2026, and what a send-off it is. The Capital Ring reaches its triumphant conclusion on Sunday as Mark and Pixel complete the full 78-mile loop back at Woolwich, and the London Diagonal finishes its cross-city journey from Epping to Cobham. London Rivers Week is in full flow with creek explorations, wildflower walks, elver watching and community clean-ups running right through to the weekend. There are quirky heritage walks (the Loo & Sewer Walk, anyone?), a gentle wander from Clapham Common to Tooting Bec, a textile history walk along the River Wandle, a Feltham and Hanworth heritage loop, a silent group walk at the Strand, and a gentle stroll through Epping Forest. Plus the Proper Blokes Club and Ramblers Wellbeing Walks keep running every day of the week. Let’s finish this festival the way we started it: one step at a time.
