About this map

The London National Park City urban nature map is a beautiful and unique reimagining of just how green and wild London really is. The map brings to the fore the capital’s 4,000 plus parks, woodlands, playing fields, nature reserves, city farms, rivers, canals and all the spaces that contribute to London’s landscape – custom drawn to highlight all the places to explore.

Originally crowdfunded by 308 backers and made for us by Urban Good CIC.

The map has been featured on BBC Countryfile’s special Cities episode, and is your guide to exploring the capital. Some of the most iconic walks through and around London are included, such as the London Outer Orbital Path (LOOP) and Capital Ring, along with symbols marking places to swim outdoors, climb hills, pitch a tent or go kayaking. It even shows front and back gardens, but not buildings!

The Making of The Map

We love how Urban Good helped us show that London is not just a city, but an urban landscape too.

The map is perfect for planning adventures in London’s great outdoors. It includes the capital’s green and blue spaces, hills and valleys, parks and commons, walks and public transport and many outdoor activities like kayaking and barbecuing.

Urban Good CIC have folded and flat copies of the 3rd edition London National Park City Map available for purchase from their store.
You can pick up your own copy of the London National Park City Urban Nature map at our shop for £12.50 including p&p to the UK here.
