Chaldon Way Community Gardens is community garden in the borough of Croydon.

It used to be managed by the council and went into disrepair when funding was cut. After the gardens fell into disarray, a team of volunteers decided to bring it back to life. It is now managed entirely by a team of volunteers. We plant, water, weed, and do all sorts of activities to keep the garden enjoyable all year round.

I used the grant to support my local community garden where I volunteer. We ordered mulch, plants and lots of gardening equipment and organised several community sessions to work on the garden together.
