The friendship tree project is about bringing a community together to green up local spaces in the densely populated area of Haringey.

The tree is over 100 years old and the estate was designed around it. It stands on an island and is the symbol of community friendship. Our project was to clean the area and install planters and flower pits around the tree.. This was done by local volunteers and has already brought people together who previously did not interact. Many of these have expressed an interest in joining future projects.
