The Grove Park Community Group transformed the front garden of Grove Park Community Centre into a vibrant, welcoming green space for both people and nature.

With support from a dedicated group of 11–20 volunteers, the project involved clearing, planting, and maintaining the garden to create a healthier environment and a more beautiful space for visitors.

Located in Lewisham, the initiative expanded and improved an existing green area, boosting local biodiversity with pollinator and wildlife friendly plants and bulbs, and enhancing the wellbeing of those who use the centre. It also created new volunteering opportunities and helped connect more residents with nature through hands-on outdoor activities, group discussions, and skill-building workshops.

The project has not only enriched the landscape but also strengthened relationships—with the natural world and within the local community.
