Heron Way Community Allotment is an ambitious transformation project, aiming to create a resilient, permaculture-based space that benefits both people and wildlife.

With biodiversity under threat across urban London – it’s key to provide a safe, thriving home for UK species. The grant will be used to establish and expand native wildflowers across the site, creating a species-rich environment that supports local fauna.

The team plans to prepare the planting areas this winter and sow in spring 2026 for maximum growth, while engaging both new and existing members in the ongoing care and stewardship of this sustainable community allotment.
