This project starts with the basics of permaculture — the idea that people, soil, plants, and animals are all connected, and that looking after one helps support the whole system.

With funding for a Permaculture Skills course for community garden leader Ash Chumber, the project will expand into practical workshops and skill-sharing sessions where neighbours can learn together and reconnect with the land around them. What begins as an introduction to permaculture will grow into a community of “Know, Sow, and Grow-ers” — people who feel confident caring for their local green spaces and for one another.

It’s more than gardening; it’s about building a shared culture of care, resilience, and knowledge that can continue to grow long after the project ends.
