Barking and Dagenham Country Parks

With orchards, ponds, meadows, a café, outdoor classroom and acres of beautiful green open spaces, there’s so much for visitors to enjoy.

Ways That You Can Volunteer

We are recruiting Conservation Volunteers to work with the Ranger Service in Eastbrookend Country Park and the Chase Nature Reserve on a regular basis.

Tasks often include litter-picking across the parks, managing habitats for wildlife, keeping pathways clear of vegetation, caring for the fruit trees in the community orchard and repair/maintenance of steps, fences and footpaths etc.

We meet at 10am every Monday (weather permitting) at the Discovery Centre, before heading out into the park. All equipment and refreshments are provided.
