As of 2024, we are a fully-fledged team supporting over one hundred active volunteers to maintain and improve the 17 garden spaces in our network. Rectory Road is a haven for wildlife at a sleepy station in North Hackney. The garden was established in October 2020 thanks to the efforts of local groups including Stoke Newington Common Users Group (SNUG), Nightingale Estate Residents’ Association, Rectory Road Residents’ Association and GoodGym Hackney.

The garden is a haven for wildlife so expect to be surrounded by the sounds of buzzing insects, chirping birds and the occasional train passing through. This garden offers a whole range of tasks that change by the week, so come get stuck in with us for a couple of hours.
