Queen’s Wood is a nature reserve – a fragment of Ancient Woodland, composed of mostly oak and hornbeam, with a wide variety of other trees and flora. In spring, the wood is filled with anemones in flower, and many other species that indicate its deep history as a wooded place. It is home to many nesting bird species and a rich set of invertebrates.

Friends of Queen’s Wood run working parties on the last Sunday of each month (except August and December). Meet at the Lodge/café at 10.30am.
Other activities as and when required, e.g. surveys, and ad hoc conservation work.
There are also volunteering opportunities via TCV Haringey.

For working parties no previous experience is required – all welcome! Friends of Queen’s Wood also welcome volunteers with specific detailed knowledge, e.g. ecology.
