Hampton Heath is a 5 hectare public public green space, on the London Loop between Bushy Park and the Crane Valley, and set within a larger Site of Interest for Nature Conservation. The site comprises acid/neutral grassland, scrub and woodland habitat mosaic, and is home to wide range of flora, fungi and fauna.

Hampton Heath Friends was established in 2022, and has transformed the heath through the removal of 20+ years of fly-tipping and accumulated rubbish, and the introduction of a habitat management programme to increase species and structural diversity. We have a strong species recording project, documenting a number of rare and Red-Listed species, and an amazing assemblage of waxcap fungi.

Hampton Heath Friends meet weekly on Saturdays for litter-picking, habitat management and species recording. We welcome all ages and abilities, but children must be accompanied.
