London Borough of Newham

Newham’s Volunteers Programme is a Newham Council initiative which started in 2004. It is open to everyone from 16+ onwards, working professionals, retired, students, young people, those with disability, refugees and asylum seekers. Annually, we have around 500 active volunteers, giving up an average of 20,000+ hours of volunteering per year, in over 300 different opportunities. Newham’s Volunteers is based on best practice in volunteering. We want to create a high quality, skilled database of people to volunteer for a range of activities and events, including working closely with voluntary, community and faith sector groups in the borough.
